Electra Partners Europe has sold its industrial cleaning business Safety-Kleen to JP Morgan Partners for £280m.
Electra bought the business for £110m in 1998 and has since doubled its profitability.
Safety-Kleen provides parts and paint gun cleaning equipment, serving more than 100,000 customers. It is headquartered in the UK and operates in 12 European countries.
JP Morgan's largest solo acquisition in Europe to date was the E497m purchase of IMO Carwash from Bridgepoint at the start of the year.
