 European private equity firm Candover has acquired Belgium's speciality film manufacturing business UCB Group for E320m.
UCB is a manufacturer of specialist orientated polypropylene and cellulose films. The company generated total sales of E362m in 2003.
'UCB's films business is well positioned in growing markets and has benefited from a long history of world class research and development,' said Julian Delano, a director of Candover.
