 Five private equity firms have been shortlisted for the final round of bidding for Netherlands-based yellow pages business VNU World Directories. The transaction has been valued at around E2bn.
Permira has joined forces with CVC to make an offer for the company. Apax is bidding with Cinven, and Carlyle, Blackstone and BC Partners will each submit separate bids.
The shortlist is understood to include no trade buyers, despite expectations that UK Yell and other European directories businesses would be interested.
