German private equity firm, ECM Equity Capital Management, has led the management buy-out of Eismann, Nestlé's frozen foods distributor. Dutch Parcom Ventures has co-invested in the deal.
Eismann was founded in 1974 and became part of Nestlé in 2001. The company has 2.3m customers across Western Europe and generated sales of E480m last year.
The investment was made from ECM's E125m Germany Equity Partners II fund. ECM currently manages a total of E200m. Limited partners in the firm's funds include BancBoston Capital, ING BHF-Bank and Fortis Bank.
