US Watermill Ventures, a private strategic investment firm, has recruited Leslie Lewis as operations partner. Lewis will focus on developing Watermill's new private equity fund and on managing the operations of the firm's portfolio companies.
'Lewis' unique knack for recognising opportunity, combined with over three decades of running successful manufacturing and distribution companies, makes him an excellent asset to our executive team,' said Steven Karol, managing partner and founder of Watermill Ventures. 'We look forward to a very prosperous future with him on board.'
Prior to joining the firm, Lewis was co-founder, president and CEO of Asahi-America. He previously served as vice president of Conant Controls Corporation, a manufacturer of precision selector valves and as a sales executive for Chase Brass and Copper Company.
'I am excited to work with such a well respected group of entrepreneurs,' said Lewis. 'The Watermill fund is a rare market opportunity and my experience in industry will allow me to focus on further establishing this profitable endeavour for the company.'
Watermill's new fund will focus on investing in distressed, middle-market manufacturing companies in order to transform them into sound and profitable investments.
