US life sciences venture capital firm Radius Ventures has hired Dr. Dilip Mehta as a venture partner. Mehta was previously the senior vice president of clinical research at Pfizer.
'I am delighted to be joining Radius Ventures,' Mehta said. 'Radius has shaped a winning strategy for investing in the life sciences sector, and I am excited by the opportunity to bring my experience in pharmaceutical clinical research to the organisation.'
'Adding an R&D executive of Dr. Mehta's calibre will further distinguish Radius as a value-added partner to companies, venture syndicates, and pharmaceutical industry partners who increasingly depend upon product in-licensing from small, innovative life sciences companies to meet their growth targets,' said Dr. George Milne, a Radius Venture Partner. 'It is an exciting time at Radius, and Dilip's involvement adds to the energy, focus and depth of the organisation.'
Radius Ventures is a New York-based venture capital firm focused on early-stage opportunities within the health and life sciences industry. Founded in 1997, Radius manages two funds with total committed capital of approximately $100m.
