Swiss LGT Capital closes Crown Private Equity on E392m

Click here for the latest news, views and interviews in the clean energy investor communitySwiss alternative investment manager LGT Capital Partners has announced the final closing of Crown Private Equity with E392m of commitments, significantly higher than its E200m target. The fund will invest in small and mid-market buy-out opportunities in Europe.

'There was a significant level of interest in the fund. We attribute this interest to LGT Capital Partners' extensive experience and excellent track record in the European buy-out market,' said Tycho Sneyers, partner at LGT Capital Partners. 'Our European investment team, with 14 nationalities represented, is very well positioned to provide access to the best opportunities in the European private equity fund universe.'

Investors in the fund include pension funds, insurance companies and foundations from Australia, Belgium, Finland, France, Iceland, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and the USA.

LGT Capital Partner manages over $5bn in hedge fund and private equity investments on a global basis.
