Philip Conboy joins UK Sovereign Capital

Sovereign Capital, the UK lower mid-market private equity firm, has announced that Philip Conboy is to join the firm as a director. Conboy joins the firm from Kleinwort Capital where he was a founding shareholder and director with a focus on support services and healthcare.

'We are delighted to welcome Philip to the Sovereign team. He has a strong track record of finding and leading transactions in the UK lower mid-market,' said Peter Brooks, managing director of Sovereign Capital. 'Sovereign has completed 11 new transactions in the last two and a half years and we believe that Philip will make a valuable contribution to the development of our existing portfolio and to future investments.'

Sovereign Capital was founded in 1998 and currently has £175m under management. The firm specialises in investing in the outsourcing, support services, facilities management, education, healthcare services, leisure and environmental sectors.
