CSFB plans private equity push into Asia

Click here for the latest news, views and interviews in the clean energy investor communityCredit Suisse First Boston has pledged to step up investment in Asia with a push into private equity, high-yield debt and securitisation.

In his first interview since he took over from John Mack in June, Brady Dougan told the Financial Times that Asia was 'the biggest opportunity' for the firm in the next 12 to 18 months.

'We expect Asia to become a growing part of our revenues and profits in the next few years,' added Dougan, who has pledged to double the firm's profits from last year's $870m by 2006.
