UK technology venture group Strathdon Investments has appointed Dr Peter Cowley as its chief scientific advisor. He will advise the firm and its portfolio companies on matters relating to the commercialisation of new technologies.
Dr Cowley was formerly the Chief Scientist - Research and Technology at Rolls Royce and had previously worked for the UK Ministry of Defence.
Hugh Stewart, chief executive of Strathdon, said: 'We believe that Strathdon and our portfolio companies will benefit greatly from his significant experience of identifying key new technologies and successfully exploiting their commercial applications.'
Strathdon was founded in 1997 and is currently raising a new fund with a target of around £50m.
