 Axa Private Equity has reached an agreement with giant Canadian investor Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec to manage its portfolio of direct venture investments in Europe.
The portfolio is composed of five companies in the industrial technology, IT and biotechnology sectors.
The companies are Cartesis, a provider of integrated business performance management solutions, biopharmaceutical firm Cytheris, Keopsys, a fibre optical specialist, security specialist Risc Technology, and software business Symetrx.
Axa Private Equity is one of Europe's largest private equity specialists, making direct investments, fund investments, and secondary investments across the asset class.
Caisse manages funds for public and private pension funds and insurance plans. Its net assets are in the region of C$90bn.
