Click here for the latest news, views and interviews in the clean energy investor communityPan-European mid-market buy-out firm Bridgepoint has maintained its recent breathless rate of activity with the acquisition of Italian caravan manufacturer SEA for an undisclosed sum. The deal marks the firm's seventh strandalone acquisition of the year.

SEA was founded in 2000 and is now the largest Italian and third largest European producer of motor caravans. It employs 500 people and has ten production plants in Italy and Spain. The firm was sold to Bridgepoint by a group of private Italian financial investors.

Guido Belli, Bridgepoint's senior Italian partner, said the attraction of the deal was the strength of SEA's pan-European growth potential. 'Bridgepoint is pleased to support the SEA management team in its next stage of growth, particularly through further acquisition in a market that has great potential for development,' he said.

Bridgepoint is expected to begin raising a new fund in the first half of 2005.
