US-based venture firm Mobius Venture Capital has promoted associate partners Rajeev Batra, Dewey Kim, and Seth Levine to the position of principal.
Rajeev Batra joined Mobius Venture Capital in October 2002 and has been involved with investments including Reactrix, Ecast, Planitax, Perpetual Entertainment, Auctiondrop and Messagecast.
Prior to joining the fund, Batra worked for Austin Ventures, Siebel Systems, Scopus Technology and Open Environment Corp. He also co-founded two technology start-ups and has an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Dr Dewey Kim has been with Mobius Venture Capital since November 2001. He has worked on investments such as Reametrix, Telcontar, Finaplex, Perfect Commerce and Concuity. Dr Kim was a management consultant in the healthcare industry at McKinsey and Company before he joined the fund. Dr Kim has a PhD in Immunology from Stanford University.
Seth Levine was vice president of corporate planning and general manager of the Internet, Telephony and Web Integration Divisions of Verado Holdings before he joined Mobius Venture Capital in September 2001. He was also Director of Corporate Development at ICG Communications and, prior to that, an analyst with Morgan Stanley. He has been involved with investments including Channelwave, Latis, Newmerix, Newsgator, Prosavvy, Quova, Cyanea, Feld Group, Service Magic, Dante Group and Xaffire. Levine holds a BA in Psychology and Economics from Macalester College.
The three new Principals join Ryan McIntyre, Aaron Cheatham, Robin Bordoli and Chris Wand in this role.
Mobius has offices in California and Colorado and has approximately $2bn in capital under management.
