Copenhagen-based fund of funds ATP Private Equity Partners has hired three senior professionals to equip the firm for the anticipated strength of fund deal flow in the coming months.
'We need to strengthen our capacities in the areas of buy-outs and venture capital to prepare for busy months ahead,' says managing partner Jens Bisgaard-Frantzen.
Kasper Knudsen joins ATP PEP from Danisco Venture, where he was involved in several European and US venture capital deals. Kasper holds an MSc in Finance from Copenhagen Business School.
Soeren Broendum Andersen has worked for the Nordic buy-out house Procuritas Partners and is a CFA charterholder. He also holds an MSc from the University of Aarhus in Denmark.
Kasper and Soeren will join the due diligence team, with Kasper focusing on venture capital funds and Soeren focusing on buy-out funds.
The third recruit is Matthew Baker, who will become part of the legal team. Matthew has been in the financing department at Slaughter and May in London for five years.
'We have decided to expand our team due to the fact that we have a well-established market position and a strong deal flow,' says Bisgaard-Frantzen. 'We continue to see a very strong pipeline from the US and increasingly also from Europe. We welcome Kasper, Soeren and Matthew to expand our bandwidth in a period where the fund raising market is coming back to normal.'
Earlier this month Nordic Capital and ATP Private Equity joined forces to make a recommended bid for Danish rescue services business Falck.
ATP PEP now consists of 15 investments professionals.
