Private equity investor GMT has appointed Ashley Long as partner and CFO

GMT Communications Partners has appointed Ashley T M Long as partner and chief financial officer. He will take over responsibility for fund and portfolio company reporting and monitoring as well as transaction support and operations.

Long, a qualified accountant, previously worked for the private equity fund Triton, Merrill Lynch Europe and Smith New Court.

GMT Communications Partners focuses exclusively on the communications sector in Europe.

Jeff Montgomery, managing partner of GMT Communications Partners, said: 'GMT has seen consistent growth over recent years and this appointment reflects this increase in the size of our business.
