 New Enterprise Associates, one of the most highly-regarded US venture firms, has announced the promotion of three staff members to general partner and one to partner. Forest Baskett, Ryan Drant and Chip Linehan have been promoted to general partner, while Ravi Viswanathan has been promoted to partner.
Peter Barris, NEA managing general partner, said, 'NEA is pleased to announce the well-deserved promotions of these extremely talented partners. In the time Forest, Ryan, Chip and Ravi have been with NEA, each has shown strong commitment to the firm and al have made meaningful contributions to our progress. We are very pleased they will be assuming greater responsibilities.'
NEA was founded in 1978 and now has more than $6bn under management.
