UK-based buy-out firm Exponent Private Equity, which was founded only a year ago and raised its £400m debut fund in record time, has strengthened its investment team through the recruitment of six experienced professionals.
Simon Baines, Kris Cudmore, Jack Edmondson, Arthur Mornington and Richard Lenane have been appointed as investment professionals and Craig Vickery joins Exponent as finance director.
All five new investment professionals have worked for major consulting and/or private equity firms including Apax Partners, BC Partners, Bain & Company, McKinsey, Booz Allen Hamilton, the Boston Consulting Group and Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.
Vickery, a qualified chartered accountant, joins from PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was an assistant director in the corporate finance and recovery team.
Exponent invests in larger, more complex mid market buy-outs of UK companies and is ready to commit up to £100m in any one transaction. The firm focuses on industry sectors including media, financial services, business services and healthcare.
