Pan-European buy-out firm Cinven has appointed Roberto Italia, Tobias Knechtle and Geoffroy Willaume to work in the firm's London, Frankfurt and Paris offices.
Roberto Italia has joined Cinven's London team as partner. Before taking up this role he worked for Henderson Private Capital as partner in charge of the business in Italy and, earlier on in his career, he was a partner and managing director at Warburg Pincus, and an employee of Telecom Italia Group.
Tobias Knechtle has recently become a principal in Cinven's Frankfurt office. Previously he was at The Boston Consulting Group and Nestlé.
Geoffroy Willaume recently joined Cinven's Paris office as an associate from Goldman Sachs' London office.
Cinven's managing partner Robin Hall said, 'In 2004 we made a number of important appointments in order to continue the growth of our business in Europe. The announcement today continues that strategy of growth, further strengthening our teams in London, Paris and Frankfurt and providing us with additional insight into the Italian and Swiss markets.'
