Wouter Moerel, a Dutch national, has joined AlpInvest Partners as a principal in the Secondary Investments team. In his new role he will focus on the origination and execution of secondary opportunities across Europe.
Prior to joining AlpInvest, Wouter was a principal at US private equity giant The Carlyle Group, where he concentrated on European buy-outs. Before that he worked as a vice president within the corporate finance teams at JPMorgan Chase and Lehman Brothers, and as a strategy consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Earlier this year, Benjamin Rouillard-Revillon joined AlpInvest Partners' Secondary Investments team as an associate.
AlpInvest Partners has €21bn of assets under management, 80 per cent of which are invested in private equity funds, either directly or through secondary transactions.
