3i strengthens Asian presence with new hirings

Click here for the latest news, views and interviews in the clean energy investor communityListed private equity firm 3i has strengthened its presence in Asia with four new hirings and the transfer of a London executive to the region.

Daizong Wang, Jae Kim, Bonnie Lo and Jason Yin join 3i in Hong Kong and Dominic Orchard moves from London.

Jamie Paton, managing director Hong Kong and head of North Asia, said, 'These appointments will accelerate our investment plans for Asia as well as our support for 3i's international investments that are looking to increase their focus in the region.'

Daizong Wang joins as a vice president and will focus on China. His career to date has featured periods at Goldman Sachs, Coopers Lybrand Consulting and the Morningside Group.

Jae Kim joins as a vice president covering the North Asian region with a particular focus on Korea. He has spent time at Intel Capital in the US, Korea and Japan, and Wasserstein Perella in New York.

Dominic Orchard will become director for business development in Asia. He joined 3i in 2002.

Bonnie Lo and Jason Yin both join as associates.
