 Australian firm Macquarie Funds Management has strengthened its Alternative Investments team with the appointment of Peter Martenson, Eric Becker and Rick Fratus. Together they will form a new team, based in Southern California. They will primarily focus on Macquarie Funds Management's private equity investment opportunities in North America, Europe and Asia.
Martenson has been appointed as a division director, while Becker and Fratus have become associate directors. Prior to joining Macquarie Funds Management all three worked together at US private equity manager Pacific Corporate Group.
These appointments take the Macquarie Funds Management private equity team to nine professionals, with the current six private equity investment professionals located in Sydney, Australia. Macquarie Funds Management provides fund of funds and tailored separate accounts on a discretionary to semi-discretionary basis.
