US private equity firm Sun Capital Partners, through its affiliate Indalex Holding Corp., has agreed to acquire 100 per cent of the stock of Chicago, Illinois-headquartered Indalex Aluminum Solutions from Honeywell International. Indalex's aluminum extrusion products are widely used throughout industrial, commercial and residential applications.
M. Steven Liff, a managing director at Sun Capital Partners, said, 'We are very enthusiastic about the execution of the definitive agreement to purchase Indalex, a company with a very strong market position that is poised for continued growth.'
'With the capital base and operational expertise of Sun Capital Partners and its affiliates, coupled with the talent behind Tim Stubbs and his management team, we are committed to assisting the company in its plan to grow and expand its market leading capabilities,' Liff continued.
Sun Capital Partners has $2.5bn of capital under management and offices in Boca Raton, Los Angeles, New York and London.
Earlier this year Sun Capital partners bought UK-based jeans brand Lee Cooper in a deal valued at a reported €45m.
