European mid-market private equity specialist Electra Partners Europe has appointed five new investment professionals. Stephen Evans and Tim Easingwood join the firm's London office as associates. Evans previously worked for Bain & Company. Easingwood is a former Permira investment executive.
Andreas Kraemer joins the Frankfurt office as an associate from Morgan Stanley, where he was an associate within the investment banking division.
Frederic Azemard and Cedric Rays have become members of Electra Partners Europe's Paris-based team. Azemard joins as an associate from Bain & Company, while Rays joins as a principal from Apax Partners in Paris, where he was a director focusing on investments in the healthcare sector.
Nigel McConnell, Electra Partners Europe managing partner, said, 'I am delighted we have been able to hire such high quality professionals to the firm on a pan-European basis.'
Electra Partners Europe advises funds in excess of €2bn. The firm's recent investments include the £170m acquisition of Covenant Healthcare in the UK, the €450m acquisition of European monochrome book manufacturer CPI in France (in partnership with CVC Capital Partners) and the €155m acquisition of Thyssen Krupp Fahrzeugguss in Germany.
In summer Electra European Fund II closed on €1.25bn.
