DLJ Merchant Banking Partners opens Los Angeles office

Click here for the latest news, views and interviews in the clean energy investor communityDLJ Merchant Banking Partners, the middle-market private equity investment arm of Credit Suisse First Boston, has opened an office in Los Angeles to augment its long-standing presence in New York and London.

Susan Schnabel, a veteran managing director of the firm, will be head of the new office. She has been with DLJ/CSFB since 1990.

Steven Rattner, global head of DLJMBP, said, 'We are extremely fortunate that Susan will now leverage her extensive buy-out experience to expand our presence on the West Coast where we see increased opportunity in the middle market.'

Schnabel added, 'Many of our portfolio companies are already based on the West Coast and our presence in Los Angeles gives us a greater platform to identify new investments and to build relationships with investors and portfolio company management teams.'

DLJMBP has offices in New York, London, Los Angeles and Buenos Aires.
