Formative Ventures, an early stage technology venture capital firm headquartered in California, has appointed Dino Vendetti as an investing partner. Vendetti will invest across a broad range of technologies. These will include wireless equipment, software and services, semiconductors, and communication. Vendetti joins Formative from Bay Partners where he was a general partner. Prior to that he worked at companies including Vulcan Ventures, Qualcomm, US West Cellular, MetaWave and TRW.
Brian Connors, co-founder and general partner at Formative, said, 'Dino Vendetti impressed us with his great investing and operating track record, as well as sharing a common investment philosophy with us.
'When we talked to the entrepreneurs he has invested in, they unanimously agreed that he understands how to navigate the challenges and decisions an early stage company needs to make during the most critical, formative stages of development - well, that sealed the deal for us.'
Formative has $83m in capital under management.
