UK firm Zeus hold first closing on £50m17/01/2007. Source: AltAssets. 
Zeus Private Equity has held a first closing on £50m. The fund has a £100m target. It will invest in businesses with an enterprise value of up to £50m with a typical equity investment of up to £10m. Transactions will typically be buy-outs and buy-ins, but restructuring and rationalisation opportunities, and buy-and-build and roll-out financing opportunities will also be considered.
Commitments to date have come from both institutional investors and entrepreneurs.
Zeus was established in October 2005 to invest in the UK regions, outside London. The firm has a generalist and opportunistic approach. Zeus is based in Manchester and also has an office in London.
