European private equity firm Bridgepoint plans to open a new office in Warsaw to help the firm access investment opportunities across Central and Eastern Europe. The new office will be led by Khai Tan, the former head of Advent International's operations in Poland. Bridgepoint managing partner William Jackson said, 'Many of our existing investments already have significant interests in the region, and a physical presence will allow us to support them more effectively with acquisitions or with operational developments there. [The new office] will also allow us to access new investment opportunities in line with our broad investment strategy.'
Bridgepoint currently has offices in Frankfurt, London, Luxembourg, Madrid, Milan, Paris and Stockholm.
The firm has raised €8bn of capital to date. It has developed expertise in the consumer, financial services, healthcare, media, support services and transport sectors, but it also considers investment opportunities in other industry sectors.
