Thoma Cressey Equity Partners renames itself Thoma Cressey Bravo16/02/2007. Source: AltAssets. 
 Thoma Cressey Equity Partners is changing its name to Thoma Cressey Bravo in recognition of the contributions of managing partner Orlando Bravo.
Bravo joined Thoma Cressey Equity Partners in 1998. He heads the firm's San Francisco office and is responsible for software and technology services investments.
'Orlando has played an important leadership role in building our very successful San Francisco office and software and technology team,' said Carl Thoma, a managing partner and co-founder, with Bryan Cressey, of Thoma Cressey Bravo and its predecessor firms. 'This change reflects our expectation that he will be an important part of the firm's future as well.'
Thoma Cressey Bravo specialises in software, healthcare, business services and other consolidating industries including education, distribution and consumer products. The firm currently manages almost $2bn in equity capital.
