 HitecVision Private Equity, a private equity firm focusing on the oil and gas sector, is opening an office in Houston, Texas.
The US office 'will ensure that HitecVision can play an even more active role as advisor to and investor in its current portfolio companies in this market, as well as increasing the number of US-based portfolio companies,' the firm said in a statement.
HitecVision also has offices in Stavanger, Norway (head office) and Aberdeen, UK.
HitecVision manages two funds with a combined capital of about $410m. Out of the firm's 11 portfolio companies two are headquartered in Houston, while an additional seven European companies have their US operations in the region.
