Capital Dynamics hires co-investment specialists20/02/2007. Source: AltAssets. 
 Capital Dynamics, a Zug, Switzerland-headquartered asset management firm exclusively focused on private equity, has appointed Andrew Beaton and David Smith as managing directors. Beaton and Smith will lead the co-investment team from the Capital Dynamics London office. Smith will also join the Capital Dynamics investment committee.
Thomas Kubr, CEO of Capital Dynamics, said, 'Having Andrew and David on board will significantly strengthen Capital Dynamics' co-investment capability and allows us to offer exceptional co-investment expertise to our clients.'
Beaton and Smith had previously established GE Equity Europe's co-investment business, and co-investment specialist Glenalta Capital.
Prior to forming Glenalta, Beaton established Langholm Capital Partners, with support from Unilever. He also spent four years with 3i and five years as a chartered accountant at Ernst & Young in Edinburgh and Paris.
Prior to establishing Glenalta with Beaton, Smith established the European business of First Reserve Corporation, and served as an adviser to AXA Private Equity. He spent his early career as an electrical engineer.
Capital Dynamics has over $20bn of assets under management.
