Welsh Carson hires former GE Healthcare executive Anthony Ecock23/02/2007. Source: AltAssets. 
US private equity firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe has appointed Anthony F Ecock as a senior operating executive. In his new role Ecock will work with the firm's portfolio companies in the healthcare sector and identify new business opportunities and trends. He will be based in New York City. Ecock was previously vice president and general manager, Enterprise Clients Group, of General Electric Healthcare. Prior to joining GE, Ecock was senior vice president and general manager, Patient Monitoring and Clinical Information Systems Division of Philips Medical Systems, a manufacturer of medical imaging equipment and other healthcare-related products and a subsidiary of Koninklijke Philips Electronics. He also worked at Bain & Company.
Paul B Queally, a general partner of Welsh Carson, said, 'We take an active role in growing our portfolio companies in partnership with management through strategic add-on acquisitions, improvements in operating performance and required changes in business strategy, and with his significant consulting and operating experience, Tony will be a valuable addition to our team.'
