AIGGIG to buy private equity funds portfolio from Eurazeo26/02/2007. Source: AltAssets. 
AIG Global Investment Group has agreed with Eurazeo to buy its interest in 28 private equity funds in a transaction valued at approximately $214m, which includes the assumption of unfunded commitments. Under the terms of the sale, AIGGIG has agreed to acquire approximately $520m in original total limited partnerships commitments. Of these, approximately 69 per cent of the funds are based in the US, 28 per cent in Western Europe, and three per cent are based around the world. The portfolio is approximately 91 per cent funded, according to a statement.
AIGGIG is a specialist in asset management, with extensive capabilities in equity, fixed income, multi-manager hedge funds, private equity and real estate. AIGGIG manages $670bn in assets.
