Mithras Investment Trust to establish private equity fund of funds05/03/2007. Source: AltAssets. 
 Following the decision to acquire Tandem Private Equity, Mithras Investment Trust plans to create a new private equity fund of funds management company. It will be called Mithras Private Equity and headed up by Gillian Brown, founder of Tandem.
Brown is the former head of the private equity funds team at Hermes Private Equity. Prior to Hermes, she was a director of Merrill Lynch Investment Managers Private Equity Partners' investment team.
Brown said, 'This is an exciting opportunity to create a new investment proposition with considerable potential to deliver best in class returns. Through Mithras Private Equity we will be able to offer an experienced and dynamic approach to fund of fund investing, and provide exposure to a diversified range of opportunities which would otherwise be difficult to access.'
