Monomoy appoints David Kreilein, John Stewart as operating partners13/03/2007. Source: AltAssets. 
Monomoy Capital Partners, a New York-based private equity firm specialised in turnaround investments in mid-market companies, has hired two additional operating partners, David Kreilein and John Stewart, to help manage the firm's growing portfolio. Kreilein and Stewart will join Richard Fish to form the Monomoy Capital operations team. Together, they will be primarily responsible for implementing restructuring programmes and business improvement projects at Monomoy portfolio companies.
Kreilein joins the firm after six years as a vice president and portfolio manager at Sun Capital Partners, where he was responsible for managing about 20 portfolio companies ranging in size from $50m to $3.5bn in revenues in the retail, industrial, service and healthcare industries. Prior to joining Sun, he was the CFO of Olan Mills, the $250m photography retailer.
Stewart joins Monomoy after 18 years as an operating executive at Toyota Motor Corporation.
Monomoy closed its debut fund on $280m in January 2007.
