Montagu Private Equity to sell UK waste management company Cory Environmental14/03/2007. Source: AltAssets. 
 European mid-market private equity investor Montagu Private Equity has agreed to sell Cory Environmental to an infrastructure investor consortium consisting of ABN AMRO Global Infrastructure Fund, Finpro SGPS and Santander Private Equity, on behalf of Santander Infrastructure Funds I and II. The deal values the business at £588m.
London-headquartered Cory operates ten landfill sites across the UK, and has contracts for recycling, street cleaning and waste collection stretching from Lincolnshire to Cornwall. The company employs around 1,300 staff.
Montagu and Cory management acquired the business in 2005 from logistics and supply chain management specialist Exel for £200m.
Montagu has offices in London, Manchester, Paris, Düsseldorf and Stockholm.
