Matrix appoints Guy Blackburn as investment manager26/03/2007. Source: AltAssets. 
 US-based smaller buy-out specialist Matrix Private Equity Partners has appointed Guy Blackburn as investment manager. Blackburn will join the new deals team, working on origination and focusing on establishing and building contacts for the firm.
He joins Matrix from property group Grosvenor, where he was an analyst and commercial manager. Blackburn is also an entrepreneur, having established Ashby Property, a company that specialises in redeveloping redundant office space in South London.
'Guy joins Matrix following a period in which we have seen a substantial increase in funds under management,' said Jonathan Gregory, director at Matrix. 'With his professional experience as well as his entrepreneurial spirit, he will make a highly valuable contribution to the firm. We are pleased to welcome him as a new addition to our team.'
Matrix focuses on investing in businesses valued between £5m and £20m.
