GEM Private Equity Partners has hired Natalie Yukselen-Alink as managing director in the firm's effort to expand its investments and its team to meet investor interest in the Turkish private equity market. The firm focuses mainly on private equity in Turkey, with selective investments in the former Soviet Union.
Yukselen-Alink has fourteen years experience mostly in business restructuring and strategic management consulting as a manager at McKinsey & Company, Istanbul, at The Boston Consulting Group, Amsterdam, and as an entrepreneur. She most recently spent six years in Turkey advising at CEO and board level on the restructuring of Turkish companies and banks including Arçelik Beko of Koc Group, Turkey's largest privately held company.
Anthony Inder van Rieden, chairman of GEM Private Equity Partners commented, 'The appointment of Natalie is the start of a major expansion by GEM Private Equity Partners. Natalie's track record of working in the restructuring of companies is a strong fit with a number of similar investments which we have undertaken.'
Established in 1993, GEM Global Equities Management S.A. is an investment management firm specialising solely in emerging markets worldwide, with a presence in Turkey since 1993.
