Natural Gas Partners has hired Scott A Gieselman as a managing director. Gieselman will join the firm's efforts in sourcing, structuring and executing the firm's investment and capital market transactions. Gieselman joins NGP from Goldman Sachs where he was a partner and had worked since 1988. During the past ten years, he held a number of senior management positions in Goldman Sachs's Natural Resources Investment Banking Division.
NGP CEO Ken Hersh said, 'Scott brings a wealth of experience and resources to our firm. Throughout his career in energy investment banking, he has been a valued advisor to leading energy industry executives and capital providers. In addition, his experience at Goldman Sachs has been unique in that he has been integral to both advisory and principal investment transactions.'
NGP is a $2.9bn family of funds that invest private equity capital in oil and gas production, midstream and oilfield service companies. The firm also manages $350m in two co-investment funds that invest in direct oil and gas property interests alongside NGP portfolio companies. NGP is an affiliate of NGP Energy Capital Management, based in Irving, Texas.
