 Updata Partners, a US information technology-focused venture capital firm with $400m in funds under management, has hired Jon Seeber as an associate.
He comes to Updata from IBM Global Services Business Development, where he managed acquisition, divestiture, and investment activities.
Seeber was involved on several strategic transactions, including the acquisitions of Internet Security Systems, Healthlink, and Corio, leading efforts ranging from strategy development and due diligence to negotiation and integration planning.
At Updata, Seeber will support investment identification and due diligence efforts and work with Updata Partners' portfolio companies.
Based in Reston, Virginia and Metropark, New Jersey, Updata Partners is a venture capital firm that invests in early and growth stage information technology companies.
Last year, Updata Partners appointed Greg Olear as vice president, finance. Olear previously served as vice president of finance at Digital 5.
