Polaris Venture Partners appoints Lindsay Barnett and Joanna LaPlaca as directors of portfolio recruiting10/04/2007. Source: AltAssets. 
 Polaris Venture Partners, a US venture capital firm with $3bn under management, has appointed Lindsay Barnett and Joanna LaPlaca to identify and recruit senior executive talent for the firm's portfolio companies.
Lindsay Barnett joins Polaris Venture Partners from Spencer Stuart, an executive search firm, where she was part of the technology, communications and media practice. As a director of portfolio recruiting at Polaris, Barnett will work closely with the firm's technology portfolio companies.
Joanna LaPlaca joins Polaris Venture Partners as a director of portfolio recruiting focused on the firm's life sciences companies. LaPlaca previously held the position of senior consultant at ZRG, a boutique executive search firm. She also brings experience in life sciences executive recruiting from her time as a member of the life sciences practice at Spencer Stuart.
Polaris invests in seed, early stage and growth equity businesses in the technology, life science, digital media, enertech and consumer sectors.
Last year Polaris Private Equity had a final close on their second fund with commitments of €270m, passing their initial target of €210m.
