Inflexion hires Bower12/04/2007. Source: AltAssets.
Inflexion Private Equity, the UK mid-market private equity investor, has appointed Anthony Bower as an assistant director in their investment team. Bower joins Inflexion after completing an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus Graduate School of Business. Prior to this he was an investment manager at Baird Capital Partners responsible for the direct origination of investment opportunities as well as being involved in the execution of deals in the business services, healthcare and technology sectors.
As part of his new role, Bower will be working in the London office on the direct deal origination aspect of Inflexion's investment team, both independently and in partnership with intermediaries targeting specific sectors and regions as well as working on new investment opportunities.
Simon Turner, managing partner at Inflexion, commented, 'We are delighted to welcome Anthony into the Inflexion team. His prior experience and skillset will complement and strengthen the existing group in both deal execution and origination. His appointment is part of Inflexion's focus on deal origination which we consider to be essential to success in the mid-market arena.'
Inflexion specialises in the UK sub-£50m buy-out market, making equity investments in the range of £5m to £20m.
The firm's most recent transaction was the £25m buy-out of Aspen Pumps, a manufacturer of air conditioning pumps. Last year saw Inflexion complete the buy-outs of Tekton, Autocruise, Parasol and Viking Moorings. Inflexion also realised two investments in its portfolio in 2006, ACIS and Crown Sports, as well as raising its £165m 2006 Buy-out Fund.
