Pomona Capital, a global private equity firm, has appointed Lorraine R Hliboki as director, co-investments, and partner. Based in New York, Lorraine will be responsible for Pomona's co-investment business, through which the firm invests in companies alongside buy-out funds. Hliboki joins Pomona Capital from General Electric, where she was senior managing director for GE Equity and had worked for the past 15 years.
Pomona closed its first co-investment fund in 2006. The fund has already completed transactions across a range of industries including car rentals, gaming, equipment leasing, insurance, modular building products, semiconductors and media, co-investing with Apollo Management, Bain Capital, Blackstone Group, Clayton Dubilier & Rice, Fremont Partners, Oak Hill Capital Management, Providence Equity Partners and Thomas H Lee Partners.
New York and London-based Pomona manages approximately $4bn in commitments across secondaries funds, primary funds of funds and co-investment funds.
Earlier this year, Pomona appointed Barry Miller as a partner of the firm. Miller focuses on secondary deal sourcing and investment analysis.
