Vulcan Capital has appointed Geoff McKay as a managing director in its private equity group. McKay will report to Vulcan Capital president Lance Conn and be responsible, along with managing director David Capobianco, for identifying and overseeing new investment opportunities. Prior to joining Vulcan, McKay was a general partner of Forstmann Little & Co., a New York-based private equity firm. Prior to that, he was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs, in the M&A group.
Conn said, 'Geoff has over a decade of relevant private equity and investment banking experience, and we are excited to welcome him to our growing team at Vulcan Capital.
'Geoff has a solid record of finding, managing and exiting investments that have generated excellent returns. His addition strengthens the team we have been building since 2004 and will enable us to build on the success we have achieved in that short time,' Conn added.
Vulcan Capital is the private investment group of Vulcan, the organisation founded by Paul G Allen, co-founder of Microsoft, in 1986 to manage his personal and professional endeavours.
