Unigestion opens Munich office, hires Paul Verhoeven12/06/2007. Source: AltAssets. 
 Swiss alternative investment manager Unigestion has opened an office in Munich. The firm has also announced that it has appointed Paul Verhoeven to head the new office in Germany.
'Thanks to our local presence in Germany and Paul Verhoeven's experience, we hope to build deeper bonds with our German clients. We will also offer them new sources of added value and performance', said Unigestion chairman Bernard Sabrier. 'Moreover, our presence in Germany enables us closely to monitor the evolution of local regulations and to adapt rapidly if necessary.'
Prior to joining Unigestion, Verhoeven was investment director and member of the board of DBV-Winterthur Versicherungen (2004-2006). He also was investment director for Versicherungskammer Bayern (1997-2004).
Unigestion employs 123 people and currently has offices in Geneva, London, Paris, New York, Guernsey and Munich.
Unigestion plans to open another new offices, in Singapore, by the end of Q2 2007.
