JVP hires Kobi Rozengarten as venture partner19/06/2007. Source: AltAssets. 
Kobi Rozengarten has joined Jerusalem Venture Partners, an early stage venture capital firm focusing on the digital media space, as a venture partner. Rozengarten is a former president of Saifun Semiconductors, a provider of IP solutions for the non-volatile memory market. As a venture partner at JVP, Rozengarten joins general partner Gadi Tirosh in leading the firm's semiconductor portfolio. He also represents JVP on the board of directors of portfolio companies Altair Semiconductors and Dune Networks.
Kobi brings to JVP over 20 years of experience in global semiconductor companies, including senior management positions at Kulicke and Soffa Industries and Elbit Computer.
Rozengarten said, 'These days, developing a successful semiconductor company involves a deep understanding of the applications that use this hardware. JVP's unique understanding of the media space allows their semiconductor portfolio companies to identify new and exciting media applications for silicon designs.'
'JVP actively seeks investments in the semiconductor and hardware industries that enable new applications in the gaming, broadband video and digital home environments,' added Erel Margalit, founder and manager partner at JVP. 'Kobi's addition to the team further enhances our ability to identify promising early stage companies and build them into successful semiconductor businesses.'
JVP in has approximately $680m under management, and offices in Israel, North America, Europe and China.
