Sal. Oppenheim, CAM Private Equity establish strategic partnership13/07/2007. Source: AltAssets. 
 European private bank Sal. Oppenheim has become a majority shareholder in Cologne-headquartered private equity firm CAM Private Equity.
Friedrich Carl Janssen, general partner of Sal. Oppenheim, said, 'By strengthening our alternative assets capabilities, Sal. Oppenheim intends to become a premier provider of alternative investment products. In this context, CAM will become the leading company for private equity fund investments within the Oppenheim group and will significantly expand private equity activities on both the national and international level.'
Constantin von Dziembowski and Dr Rolf Wickenkamp, the founding partners of CAM, added, 'Together with Sal. Oppenheim, CAM intends to broaden its investment strategy to become a major player in the alternative investment markets. Our three-year history of working together convinces us that we have found the ideal partner to ensure further dynamic growth of our company.'
CAM currently manages assets of approximately €2.7bn.
