Scrum creator Jeff Sutherland joins OpenView10/08/2007. Source: AltAssets. 
 OpenView Venture Partners, a Boston-based expansion stage venture capital fund with a focus on software, internet and technology-enabled companies, has hired Jeff Sutherland as a senior adviser to the investment team. Sutherland will also provide coaching to portfolio companies.
Sutherland invented the Scrum Agile Development Process, an approach for managing software development teams. He has served as the CTO of several organisations, on the Microsoft Business Framework Advisory Council, and has coached development organisations in the US, Europe and Latin America.
Sutherland is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy (West Point) and the U.S. Air Force's Top Gun programme.
OpenView was founded in 2006 by Scott Maxwell with an inaugural fund encompassing $100m in committed capital.
