 US private equity fund manager Energy Investors Funds has hired Scott Parkes as senior associate in the Mill Valley, California office. Parkes will work with both the firm's investment and marketing teams.
Parkes joins Energy Investors Funds from ExxonMobil in Houston, Texas, where he spent three years working in a variety of roles, including corporate finance and investor relations. Prior to joining ExxonMobil, Parkes was at JPMorgan and McManus & Miles.
This is the third new hire by Energy Investors Funds following its recent fund closing. The firm closed its seventh institutional fund, the United States Power Fund III, on $1.35bn, exceeding its original $1bn target.
Energy Investors Funds, established in 1987, has offices in Boston, New York and San Francisco.
