Boulder, Colorado-based venture firm Vista Ventures has appointed Lisa Reeves as general partner. Reeves will be responsible for enterprise software and infrastructure investments. Reeves was previously with SAP Ventures, the corporate venture fund of SAP, where she was senior vice president. Prior to SAP Ventures, Reeves spent eight years in consulting, sales and marketing roles in SAP America. Before that, she held positions at the Chrysler Corporation.
'Lisa brings an extensive and impressive track record to the firm and deep knowledge of the software industry,' said Catharine Merigold, general partner of Vista Ventures. 'She is a proven and experienced member of the venture community, and her expertise and network will be highly valuable as we continue to invest Vista Ventures I and raise our next fund, Vista Ventures II.'
Kirk Holland, also a Vista general partner, added, 'Our team has known and worked with Lisa for many years. We have co-invested with her, and seen the tremendous value her operating experience and global networks can add to building portfolio companies.'
Vista invests in early and growth stage IT companies in the greater Rocky Mountain region. In particular, the firm invests in companies in three areas: network/network technology, software, and internet media and data companies. Its portfolio of companies includes MX Logic, LeftHand Networks, Thought Equity, Rally Software and Tendril Networks.
The addition of Reeves makes Vista Ventures one of the few female-owned venture firms in the US.
