Abu Dhabi Investment House has appointed Mathew James as COO and Mahmood Samy Naib as CDO. In their new roles, James will be responsible for the operations, accounting, administration, IT, HR, legal, corporate communications, strategy, and business performance and other corporate functions, while Naib will oversee the real estate department's functions and the strategic planning for the development sector. Rashad Janahi, CEO, ADIH, said, 'The appointments of Mr James and Mr Naib come at a time where ADIH is poised for significant regional and international expansion, taking advantage of the world economic growth especially in the real estate and corporate sectors. James, a certified accountant, has held senior positions in various organisations including Shroeder Ventures, DLJ Phoenix Private Equity, BCEE Advisors (UK) and Capital Trust. Before joining ADIH, James was the European controller at DB Zwirn, responsible for setting up and running the European finance division.
Prior to ADIH, Naib gained global industry experience with firms such as Skidmore Owings & Merrill, McClier, Turner International and Parsons.
